In April 2015, DONG Energy agreed to take on the development rights from RES Americas for a 1GW-plus offshore wind zone off the coast of Massachusetts, US. The move followed an earlier successful bid by RES Americas to secure the rights to develop the zone and paves the way for significant future US offshore wind development.
